In Loving Memory of Patricia Casey Benedict
It is with great sadness that we inform you of the passing of our friend and colleague, the CFO, Board Member and one of the owners of this firm. Patricia C. Benedict died peacefully at home on Saturday, December 14, 2013 surrounded by family. Please keep our founder, Dr. Benedict, his daughter Sharla and their extended family in your thoughts and prayers. Mrs. Benedict, fondly known as Mrs. B. to each of us, will be greatly missed.

BEC on the Road
The Florida Justice Association will be hosting “Hell on the Highways II” and BEC will be there. This CLE seminar will cover trucking litigation, road construction, motorcycles, and other highway issues. It’s happening on December 6 in Tampa and if you would like complete details click here.
BEC’s own Brian Pfeifer will be there to talk about how things are not always obvious when investigating an accident and to provide examples of how evidence can be misinterpreted. Dr. Pfeifer will be giving his presentation “Things Aren’t Always What They Seem: Reconstructing the Tricky Crash” at 1:20 pm and will be available to meet and answer questions prior to and afterwards.
Dr. Pfeifer is a consulting engineer with a strong background in the design, development, and implementation of roadside safety hardware. His current work consists of vehicular accident reconstruction, analysis of maintenance of traffic issues, premises liability, investigation and analysis of mechanical systems and product failures, and development of automated material-handling systems.
